Government and Politics in Pakistan Book 3: History of Pakistan (1947-1971)

History is an important subject because it helps in building a nation. All great leaders taught their people the history of their country and their ancestors so that the future generation could learn from it. We Muslims also get inspiration from the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah also said that our history is full of a great revolution led by a great personality and his companions who spread his message across the world. Sadly, the purpose of education has changed now. Instead of building character and spirit, we only focus on preparing students for jobs.

It is a good sign that the History of Pakistan is now given more importance. Wise people not only learn from the achievements of their ancestors, but also study the mistakes that caused harm. We should look at both sides of history. The writer of this book has tried his best to show both the positive and negative aspects. If today’s students gain confidence and follow the principles of “Unity, Faith and Discipline,” the future of Pakistan will be bright. But our future leaders must avoid bribery, corruption, dishonesty and negligence, because these things damage our national life.

This book is written for students of all levels, especially for B.S. students. It is the first edition, and nothing in this world is perfect except the creation of Allah. If teachers or readers find any mistakes or feel something should be added, they are kindly requested to inform us. Both suggestions and criticism will be welcomed. May Allah make this effort successful and forgive our shortcomings.
